Understanding Poverty

"There are more than six billion people living in poverty in the world that you could be helping, employing, selling products to, or teaching. But you are probably not! Why? Because they think differently than you and you think differently than them. It is time that you gained an Understanding of Poverty. You can not afford not to."

- Joe Ader

Understanding Poverty for Churches and Missions:

What if our ministries and organizations hurt the poor more than they help? Understanding Poverty gives you practical, real-world support and guidance to improve your effectiveness in working with people from low socio-economic backgrounds. The training puts forth a theological foundation to concepts about poverty (What is the cause of poverty? Who are the poor?), to principles (What is our responsibility as Christians? ), to strategies (How can we help the poor domestically and internationally?) Whether you have been working with the poor for years or you are just interested in gaining some more knowledge on the subject, Understanding Poverty will powerfully transform your understanding of how Christians can best serve the poor. You may call them clients, customers, neighbors or angels, but whatever your organization calls them, chances are they have been impacted by poverty. Understanding Poverty for Nonprofits gives your staff and volunteers the training they need to effectively engage those in need.

Understanding Poverty for Business

More than six billion potential clients and employees live in poverty.  There is an untapped market that could bring about incredible potential in emerging markets, but your organization needs to be savvy at understanding these clients. Understanding Poverty for Business will provide the training you need.

Understanding Poverty for Educators

Kids in poverty think differently, they live differently, their home lives are different.  So the normal rules of order, structure, discipline are not the same. Understanding Poverty for Educators provides teachers and administrators with training on how to best reach children and families in generational poverty.
